Seeing and Hearing: a Common Sense

As I mention in my bio/about page I have been mixing art and music since I can remember. I believe it's a common connection with many artists I met who also happen to be musicians. When I returned to school in my later years, my belief was validated. Art, like music, is comprised of patterns, color, texture in rhythmic instances that makes it pleasing visually. In music, it is pleasing in the auditory sense although the listener is not aware why. All they know, is they like it, It may evoke an emotion of some kind, a distant memory or just make them feel good. As an artist there is something very satisfying about seeing my work in colors and lines (or sounds) at the end of the day. It may not be done at the time, but the anticipation of the completed work is there and it is exciting to me.
